Medicines Australia

PharmAus Symposium & Showcase

Medicines Australia endeavoured to bring together the innovative biopharmaceuticals sector with Australian policy leaders to showcase the achievements of the industry and its aspirations for its future in Australia.

Through thorough consultation with Medicines Australia’s member companies, we established a blueprint for PharmAus that would not only provide a forum to hear from thought leaders in the industry but also showcase the achievements of member companies in a tangible manner.

The one-day event consisted of a policy symposium consisting of 3 sessions which focused on the future of the industry in an Australian context. Each session was bolstered by a Q&A session to create an avenue for open discussion with panellists and the audience. The PharmAus Policy Symposium heard from the Minister for Health and Minister for Sport, the Hon Greg Hunt MP; the Shadow Minister for Health, the Hon Catherine King MP and the Leader of the Australian Greens, Senator Richard Di Natale sharing their visions for the future.

The Innovative Medicines Showcase presented over 20 of Medicines Australia’s members in the Great Hall of Australian Parliament House, celebrating the achievements and collaborations of the industry alongside parliamentarians and key policy makers.
